Western Landscape Painting, Colorado Mountain Landscape, “Mushroom Rock” by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse, Painter of the American West

"Mushroom Rock" is a commission piece, painted for a couple who lives at the foot of the Colorado National Monument. There are so many views of the Monument, but they are all stunning at sunrise. This painting was a joy to complete!

Original Pastel Colorado Landscape Painting "The Meadow by Lou's" by Nancee Jean Busse, Painter of the American West

My sister lives at the other end of the valley from me. Her views are beautifully pastoral and her home looks across this gorgeous meadow. It’s lovely in all seasons. In the winter it fills with Canada geese, in the spring it turns a magnificent chartreuse as the field begins to grow. This piece was painted in the middle of June, when the valley seems to sing with happiness!
