Original Equine Painting "THE-WILD-ONE-2" by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse, Painter of the American West

This is another painting of the horse that simply wouldn't be corralled. I took the photo reference at the moment when she was looking behind her at the rest of her herd of horses and then ran the other direction.

Equine Art, Wild Horse Painting,"The Wild One" by Nancee Jean Busse ,Painter of the American West

I photographed a horse roundup outside of Cortez in May. There was one horse who simply wouldn't behave! She was everywhere she wasn't supposed to be, in spite of every attempt to wrangle her into going along with the herd. She simply ran for the pleasure of running, even if it was in cloud of the cowboy's curses! I liked her! I'll paint her again!
